Creative Equals’
Communities Programmes

Accelerate change by empowering community growth

Our creative programmes are a core pillar of what we do at Creative Equals - where we support and deliver growth through inclusion within various underrepresented and unheard communities. We do this by sourcing funding and sponsorship from changing making brands and agencies to run and deliver upskilling programmes, talks and events. This sector of our business is run like a non-profit, with funds being reinvested back into initiatives that work with communities we support so Creative Equals’ can continue making a positive impact.

Creative Comeback: supporting creative women, non-binary and gender
non-confirming people back into work after a career break.

Our Creative Comeback programme gets creatives back into work. It sets the standard for global talent regeneration. Initially backed by the Government Equalities Office and now partnered globally with our Gold Sponsor Diageo, we’ve expanded from our London programme to NYC, Mumbai and we want to go beyond. We provide best in class training with awards organisation D&AD.

We work with creatives to bring them back to work after career breaks (maternity, mental health, ageing parents… we know life happens). And we know it’s making a real difference.

Disabled Creatives: championing the disabled and neurodiverse in the creative and advertising industry

There is chronic underinvestment in disabled talent. With just over 14.6 million disabled people in the UK and when more than one in five of us will be affected by disability at some point in our lives, action is need more than ever. This initiative is first of it’s kind, setting the standard for global talent regeneration and championing disabled talent. With more disabled perspectives at the table, we hope to see better disabled representation.

Business Leaders: a programme for Women in leadership

Creative Equal’s Business Leaders is a transformational programme that supports women stepping into SLT/C-Suite roles. We build women up to reach the very top level of their career (and out of middle management!), through workshops that our data tells us that they need, and by building up a network of like-minded professionals. We’ve grown over 200 women in how to be effective creative leaders, and ascend to the C-Suite, with more following behind.

Future Leaders: for women ready to step into leadership

We know that women are underrepresented in leadership, and that 75% of line managers in our sector are male, and that women are looking for different training courses than their male counterparts. We run Future Leaders for women climbing those first rungs into management and leadership positions.

Our lunch+learns and talkshops

Listening and learning from different communities is key to authentic inclusion. How do we foster more diverse talent to ensure diversity of thought and more progressive creative work? We run talkshops (half a talk, half a workshop) to help other understand different perspectives.
