Covid-19: what does it mean to you?

So, we know Covid 19 is not the leveller it was claimed to be. It does discriminate and the implications of this could set back the diversity story for the industry for years. We’ve seen this in society with the disproportionate amount of BAME deaths - particularly among frontline key workers. 

In the creative sector, we hear of working mothers who have no choice but to request (and volunteer) for furlough due to childcare, older workers who are sidelined due to ageism and of entry level BAME/multicultural talent schemes being axed. 

To monitor this inequality and drive action while the key decisions are being made, Creative Equals - in partnership with Campaign - have launched a monthly survey for the sector: Covid-19 Inclusion Pulse. We’ll be reporting on this data monthly, sharing insight with the sector to drive change. To help leaders, we'll be giving the industry a toolkit on putting diversity to the front of every redundancy consideration list later this month.

Let's talk online hate crimes at 2pm today

Today, we’re tackling the issue of hate hacks head-on. When Lydia Amoah of Creative Equals was subjected to racist abuse online, she took it as an opportunity to understand the severity of the problem, drive action and has authored a policy, which will be revealed later this afternoon. This session is FREE.
