Just 4 spaces left...

In 2019, 97% of CEOs in Adland were white. Accelerate is here to change that. Our hugely successful first cohort have just graduated, and we're kicking off the second cohort on January 19. Our data identified the unique career development needs of multicultural talent. This created the foundations of 'Accelerate'. Led byLydia Amoah(our Learning & Cross-cultural Director) and with an advisory board of industry titans, this programme's not one to miss.

We know how successful this course is: almost everyone who has been on it describes it as ‘life-changing’ and we know it has accelerated careers across the industry, with many stepping up to senior roles, like Mesha Williams, now AV Associate Director at MediaCom.

This means you have more time to apply and get your application in. Every programme application covers three places: one senior and two rising stars, who explore paths to leadership together. DEADLINE DECEMBER 18.

We cover:
Kick off: Powerful internal network welcome session
Session 1: Barriers, Background and Bias
Session 2: Sense of Self: Cultural Transformation
Session 3: Know Your Emotional SMARTs
Mentoring Mixer x 2 - for both Senior and 2 Sponsors
Session 4 : How to Get What You Want – Go in For Your Ask
Session 5: Present Your Message
Session 6: Bring It In – Your Untapped Power
Pay it forward event: Senior and Sponsors event Celebration
Graduation Dinner and Awards Ceremony

TAKE OUR INCLUSION PULSE

We know ‘re-orgs’ have taken out talent from diverse backgrounds (the sector has shrunk by 40%). In our May assessment of the impact of Covid-19 on talent, we could see this was direct hitting working mothers, the LGBTQIA+ community, Black, Asian and Multi-Ethnic Talent, as well as older talent. A recent study by Major Players shows men are now twice as likely to be in the £65-90K pay bracket now than women. How has Covid-19 impacted you?

We’ve had many requests for the data, which is why you’ll find it on our site here. We are lining up our content for next year to help push this agenda forward. Next up, we are looking at how to drive diversity through the supply chain with Sonoo Singh, Co-Founder, Creative Saloon, Grainne D'Arcy, EMEA Resource Lead, Diversity and Inclusion Supply Lead on January 20 and more to come.

Work with us!

We are looking for a number of hires right now, including Senior D&I Client Delivery manager to deliver best-in-class practice know-how, workshops and strategies to our rapidly growing range of clients as well as a Client Services Director. In this role, you’ll provide excellent client service to make sure the workflow is seamless, liaising with the team to resource for our upcoming projects and overseeing project delivery.

Creative Equals Recommends...

WATCH:  Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen’s series: Small Axe. Brining Black British stories to a wide audience, the Sunday night slot on BBC One is now showing a series of programmes exploring ‘Love letters to black resilience and triumph in London's West Indian community’. Beautifully crafted, this series tells stories that have been missing from our screens for far too long. Not to miss.

READ: Marcus Rashford - an undisputed modern-day hero - detailing his partnership with Burberry in Vogue earlier this month. Rashford has paved the way to reduce child poverty during the pandemic, as well as partnering with brands to secure funding for youth centres across the UK and North America.

KNOW: We salute the power of collective change. It was unprecedented to see the entire retail category coming together on Channel4 to stand against racism after the Sainsbury's 'Dad makes gravy' ad aired, receiving deplorable trolling from racists. Together, they #StandAgainstRacism.

Love and kisses,

The Creative Equals Team x
